Evidently the hex is still with us.

This morning Gray awoke (in our bed) at 4:30. He was moaning, whining, crying, and generally miserable. He didn't want to lie down. He didn't want to be rocked. He didn't quite down after some medicine for him tummy. Nor after Tylenol (teething?) Leanne tried to cuddle him, tried to take him downstiars to lie on the couch, tried to rock him. Nothing made him happy. Around 5:30, his crying woke Carter (if anyone tries to tell you that twins won't wake each other up, they are LYING.) Seeing how I was unsuccessful getting Carter back down and at this point, Gray was playing in the living room, we all got up and were playing in the living room by 5:55. On a Saturday. Thankfully, the boys had breakfast at 7:15 and were back down for a nap by 7:30. And they slept (and let us sleep) till 9:45. YIPPEEE.

We missed our afternoon gym class so planned to come back home and let them run around the playrooom for awhile before their afternoon nap. Naturally, Carter fell asleep on our 15 minute ride home. He did transfer to his crib - but Grayson wouldn't go down. When I finally got him down (an hour later - and on a blanket in the basement) I came upstairs to find Carter awake and screaming (Leanne had left to get her hair cut.) So Carter and I hung out while Gray took a two hour nap. It was like the "old days" (when they were teeny) when they slept on exact opposite shifts. I am glad that phase is 0ver (for the most part.)

Wish us luck on sleeping tonight. We need it.
