Bruiser. That is Carter. Yesterday morning as I was getting ready for work, Carter was walking around our bathroom. Somehow he slipped on our rug outside the shower and went tumbling into the corner of our tub. At first I thought he had just bumped his head. He was crying, but more of a scared/ouch that hurt, than a I AM IN PAIN scream. After a minute or so, I lifted his head off of me to look him over and saw that his eye was getting swollen all ready. He'd caught the corner of the tiled tub right at the corner of his eye. OUCH. It was black and blue and swelling (and of course he did NOT want to still still long enough for me to put ice on it) but as the day progressed, it got worse. Here is what he looked like last night:
(by the way, this is the first picture in quite some time that has both boys!)

But when he woke up this morning (he can open his eye - it is just closed because he is hamming it up for the camera):
(poor baby - but really does he seem upset!?!?!?)

And it was almost a year ago exactly that this picture was taken at Leanne's parents house. We took them for their first visit when they were 3.5 months old - right before I went back to work. Where'd my teeny gown clad babies go????
