Houston. We have lift off.
Sunday morning as we were getting everyone ready for playgroup, Leanne and I turned around and saw this (yes, he got himself in that position):

Followed by this face when he couldn't figure out how to get out of that postition:
Hee hee hee. :) I did help him down. ;) And we did lower his mattress last night. Carter is getting his mattress lowered tonight (since I am sure his liftover is not too far behind!)

We had a good weekend. Both munchkins have decided that sleep is overrated and that napping just takes up valuable playing time. Grayson especially. He used to be our champion sleeper, but lately he seems to think that his crib is some sort of torture device. Hopefully, he'll soon realize that he (and everyone around him) is much happier when he takes a nap (preferably two.)

Yesterday we packed everyone up and went to DC for our playgroup. The group is mostly made up of other couples in our pregnancy group that we belonged to (wow, that seems like a long time ago!) We haven't been able to go since September and at that point the boys were a whopping 3 months old and really not into playing. Yesterday, they interacted with the other babies, played with toys that other parents had brought, and had a great time! It was also nice for us to hang out with some other moms! The boys also saw their first snowfall yesterday! It started snowing in the afternoon and by the time we left playgroup, the car (van) was covered. We were a bit bummed that we hadn't bought a sled for their first foray into playing in the snow, but there really wasn't that much snow, and by the time we got home the boys were tired and starving (as evidenced by them eating a bowl of oatmeal, 3oz of carrots, 1 container of baby yogurt, and an applesauce cup! That is A LOT for them!!) I hoped that with all that food in their bellies that we wouldn't hear from them till morning. But alas, they were both up during the night. Multiple times. Oh well.
Here are a couple of other pictures from this weekend (Robin, aren't you impressed with how many pictures I am taking?!?!?!)
Gray is happy to be having tummy time!!

Carter has learned to look at things sideways. It cracks me up. :)

The boys ready to go to bed (after a rousing game of peak-a-boo) on their 8 month birthday!
