Happy New Year!

Ours was very low-key. We hung out at home with Suzanne and her 7 week old son, Rhyder. We watched the Food Network, munched on snack foods, soothed crying babies (hers and ours), and suddenly realized at 11:59:46 that the New Year was almost here. Whoops.

Our guys thought they were missing something big. They would.not.stay.asleep. They were up no less than 4 times between going to bed at 6:15 (they were exhausted having only 1 nap all day long) and midnight (with one time Carter being so awake, that we did bring him downstairs and got him back to sleep and then took him back to bed - of course he didn't stay there and ended up sleeping the night in our bed. OY.) Unfortunately, the little peanuts were up at 7:30am (despite being up a few times during the night) raring to go. And more unfortunately, we realized that Carter had leaked through his diaper all over our bed. Happy Freakin' New Year to us. ;)

Currently, we are trying to convince them that rainy, cloudy, and cold New Years Days are good for napping and lots of quiet time. We're exhausted. I'll let you know how that goes. :)
