Things are looking much better here in the Page-Wells household. Last Monday morning, I woke up not feeling well at all. I was nauseous, hot/cold, headachy, and generally felt crummy. I spent most of the day lolling around and napping. Thankfully, when I woke on Tuesday morning I felt fine. Unfortunately, the boys were sick. They had high fevers, "blow-out" diapers, they refused to eat, and they were clingy. Poor boys. Poor Mia (our nanny.) By Friday afternoon everyone was looking and feeling better. They still took really long morning naps (3.5 hours!) but the fevers were gone. The appetites were coming back. And smiles were more common than crying/whining. :)
This weekend everyone is back to their normal lovable selves. We went shopping for new clothes for Carter on Saturday. Most everything we bought them this spring was already too small *insert shocked face.* So, I hit up the outlet malls in the morning and then we all went to the mall in the afternoon and got him restocked with "play clothes." Yes, they have 2 wardrobes - clothes that they wear everyday to play in (and get really dirty this summer when they play on the playground, etc) and then clothes to go out in on the weekends, etc. We went to the play area in the mall for the fist time and found that the boys LOVED walking/climbing on all of the figures and watching the big kids run and jump around. It made getting back in the stroller and finishing our shopping much more tolerable - in fact Carter got so worn out that he sacked out and took an 45 minute nap in the stroller! Of course, I forgot my camera to take pictures of them in the play area. I'll be sure to next time. Now, that we know that they really like it and it tires them out, I am sure we'll be visiting every play area in every mall in this tri-"state" (since DC isn't a state) area. :)
Sunday Chad hung out with us in the morning and rebuilt Leanne's computer while the boys took another marathon (2.5 hour!!) nap! :) Afterwards, we went to Red Robin for lunch (one of the few restaurants that the boys can make noise and no one cares because the entire place is filled with kids and it is so loud no one can tell whose kid is making all of the racket! They ate REALLY well for the first time in a week. Then we were off to Sam's Wholesale where they were the hit of the store! We tried to get them to take a late nap once we got home - to no avail - so they ate (mac and cheese for the first time - YUM!), played, and went to bed early with no protesting! YIPPEEEEEEE!!!!!!
