We've had a couple of interesting nights around here.

Wednesday night Grayson tossed and turned (in our bed) all night. At 2:40, Leanne says, "He's peed through his diaper." Great. We change him and get our bed situated. Grayson is wide awake and not interested in sleeping. Because he didn't eat lunch or dinner (didn't feel well we think) Leanne thinks that he may be hungry. She takes him to the kitchen for milk. But there isn't any milk in the fridge in the kitchen. The extra milk is in the fridge in the garage. And as soon as Leanne opened the fridge, Grayson started saying, "Pud. Pud. Pud." That means pudding. He had spotted some in the fridge and wanted it. And because Leanne didn't want to go to the garage to get milk at 3:15, she gives him pudding. He eats it and is happy. And he still isn't tired. Leanne takes him to the guest room at 4:00 hoping to get him to sleep. At 4:30 Leanne's alarm goes off. I go in to tell her and she says to ignore it. I fall back asleep around 5, and Leanne's alarm goes off again at 5:30 (evidently the boys hit the on button for the 2nd alarm.) I fall back asleep and Carter wakes for the day at 6:07. OY.

Thursday night. The kids refuse to go to sleep. Leanne finally get Gray asleep in the guest bed. He sleeps till 2:40 at which point he wakes and comes to our bed. Carter wakes at 3:15 and is crying/screaming because his slipper came off. I put it back on and he falls asleep instantly. At 3:40, Grayson wakes out of a dead sleep crying/screaming, "PUD. PUD. PUD." Oh no. We aren't getting into a middle of the night pudding habit. We try telling him that it is nighttime. That he can have pudding in the morning. Once we tell him that it is all gone and there is no more, he puts his head down next to Leanne and finally falls asleep around 4:15. Neither Leanne nor I can fall back asleep quickly. We toss and turn and finally fall asleep. Thankfully, the kids sleep till 6:30.

We are hoping for a better night. Wish us luck.
