It was a beautiful weekend here. Mid 70s. Sunny. Great for being outside and not getting too hot and sweaty!

Saturday we did our typical cleaning the house in the morning followed by Gymboree. In the afternoon, we went looking for some sport sandals for the boys. They have “dressier sandals” but we needed something that can get wet and dry easily and would still protect their toes since they still trip and fall a lot. We thought it would be an easy and quick trip. Yea, right.

The Stride Right outlet has the sandals we like – but not in the correct sizes. They have their sizes alright, but in two different styles of shoes – and at this point, equal is better. Grayson was getting cranky cause he is hungry (remind you of anyone you know? Um..me?) and we go to Johnny Rockets only to get seated and sit there for 10 minutes with a unhappy toddler and no service. We finally left and got him a hot dog in the food court, which pleased him just fine.

Afterwards, we met Jurgen at a new playground (it was new to us!) and played for nearly 2 hours. They ran and ran and ran. We chased and chased and chased. We all had a great time.

Sunday morning was the same as always – Panera for breakfast, the grocery store, playground/playroom time, and a nap. Afterwards, we went to a playgroup held by one of my friends. There were 4 other little boys there (and one baby girl) – all within 9 months of our kids. But our kids were the only ones who were attracted to the grill like moths to a flame, who find the drip cup in the grill (MULTIPLE TIMES), who had to drag out our hosts rakes, who carried the water nozzle around, who wouldn’t play with the other kids in the backyard (but ran up and down the front walk in the front yard), and would not stay on the playground. OY. But we all had a good time. So, good in fact, that Gray didn’t want it to end and FOUGHT going to sleep. But such is life these days. Perhaps it is the fact that it is still light when they are going to bed (not that it bothers then for nap time.) I think we’re going to invest in some room darkening shades. Hopefully, sooner versus later.

Carter going down the slide. He loves his cool shades!

Gray climbing up the slide

Grayson really working hard to rock the motorcycle! Carter is just along for the ride.

Grayson isn't as into the caurosel as he thought!
