We had a great weekend.

Saturday morning we got the 4 of us up and out the door in 45 minutes! We were fast (and I'd already packed the diaper bag and set out their coats/shoes the night before)! We headed downtown to do the Walk for the Homeless. We laughed as we walked about how you can trace the evolution of our relationship by the walks:

3 years ago we walked with some of Leanne's co-workers. We got up 15 minutes before we needed to leave and threw on a hat. After we walked, we went to lunch, and hung out downtown.

2 years I had to sit out. Even though I was only 11 or so weeks pregnant, walking -even short distances - felt like wading through wet cement. And Leanne was sick with pneumonia.

1 year ago, we bundled up the boys and did the walk. We had to stop half way through to change diapers and feed bottles (2 of the 6 we packed.) We had to hustle at the end because they were hungry and they had green beans for the first time (you can read about it at the 11/20/06 entry.)

This year we had one bag with diapers, sippy cups with water, lots of Goldfish crackers, Odwalla bars, and a banana. They nibbled on the food as we walked. We walked much faster than we have in the past and were amazed when we were done. At the end, Carter had fallen asleep and Grayson wanted OUT. We let him run around on the Mall and then went over to the Natural History Museum. The boys looked at dinosaurs, the big elephant at the entrance, and watched a movie about evolution which the boys enjoyed (this museum isn't for people who believe solely in creationism!) We finally packed up and went home around noon. The boys took good naps (after a bit of cajoling) and then we went to Cosi (a delicious sandwich kinda place) that ended up being a nightmare (boys didn't like their cheddar grilled chesse and let us know it.) And then because we are gluttens for punishment, we went to the grocery store.

Sunday, I had to work. Blech. Leanne and the boys went to the store, played in the playroom, and evidently she really tired them out, because they were in bed and asleep by 6:45!

Here are a couple pictures from this past week. Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving!
