Never fear. The new camera is on its way! We settled on the Canon 850 which is the newer version of the 800. It has image stabilization, which is supposed to help with blurry pictures from an unsteady photographer. And since a good deal of the pictures I have been taking during the past year are fuzzy, I thought this would be a good feature to have. I went to look at it at Best Buy yesterday, and while it is bigger than some of the other models, it is so much smaller than our existing camera. It will be great! I got confirmation that it was shipped, so it should be here soon and you will get to see lots of new pictures of the Munchkins. :)

We went to a preview class for Gymboree (a gym class) for toddlers on Saturday morning. There is a lot of equipment for the kids to climb on and through, balls to play with, and toys that make noise. In addition to the free play time, they do group songs/activities (playing with a parachute, bubbles, etc.) They had a great time playing on all of the equipment - especially the little trampoline with a handle. I wish I had a picture of Grayson's face when he realized her could bounce on it. Priceless. We realized they aren't terribly social (and given that we aren't either, we are going to have to rely on Jurgen to help promote their social development) and we need to work on them holding our hand when they walk (right now they just toddle around or if we are trying to get somewhere specific, we pick them up.) We signed up for 8 classes for the summer (some gym classes and some music classes!)

After todays trip to the mall and Sam's Wholesale I need suggestions from our reading audience. The boys differ in sizes. Carter is about 4lbs more than Grayson and the size discrepancy is pretty obvious (nevermind that Grayson often eats Carter under the table.) But EVERYONE comments on Carter's size ("Wow! That one is much bigger!" "He must eat a lot more!" "He's really a big boy!") and because we attract a lot of attention, we get these comments regularly. Today alone we must have gotten the comment 10 times. Yes, it is true. Carter is bigger. But we don't want him to feel self conscious about his size (he ISN'T overweight or unhealthy) and we don't want Grayson to feel as though there is something wrong with being smaller. No, they don't understand now - but it won't be long before they do. We say things like, "They are both healthy boys!" but I would love to have a snappy comeback that 1) shuts people up and 2) makes the boys feel good about their size regardless of what it is.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Let me know if you think of a good comeback for the "he's so big" comment. People say that to Colin all the time, and it's driving me crazy!
