We have had a great week here in casa de Page-Wells!

Last Friday Leanne was stuck in traffic (that wasn't so great!) and so rather than missing our weekly Costco/Sams run (which was needed) I took the kids alone. And even though they weren't handing out samples (which typically keeps them occupied) they were perfectly happy sitting in the cart. We had a great shopping experience! And then we met Leanne for dinner and had a nice dinner followed by playground time (gotta love spring weather, it being light longer in the evening, and living a stones through from the playground.)

Saturday we went to Gymboree (we need to get video of Grayson's response to the tambourine that the teacher uses to get everyone to come to the center mat for an activity. As soon as he hears it, he IMMEDIATELY stops whatever he is doing and runs FULL speed to the mat and throws himself down. All of the adults laugh and laugh.) The took a great nap and then we went to a local playground that has a huge sandbox. Carter loved playing in the sand, while Gray wasn't so sure. He really doesn't seem to like the feel of sand - although he loves dirt! We went to the mall and got them new pjs (apparently our kids are the only ones who wear long pants and long sleeves to bed during the summer months. The selection was sparse.) and ice cream cones from DQ. I wish I had the camera with me while they ate them. Grayson had his face so far in the cone that he had ice cream up his nose and we were wondering how he was able to breathe! Carter somehow ate his cone from the bottom up (yea, that was messy.) And all of this messy eating took place in the lobby of Medieval Times (which is in the mall across from the DQ.) The quiet setting, dim lights, and lack of crowds really seemed to help a cranky/over stimulated Grayson. Plus, they got to see the King and everyone else in their silly costumes. ;)

Sunday wasn't so great. It was cold, rainy, and nasty all day. We did get out for groceries and breakfast. But they didn't take a great nap and were generally cranky. By 5:00 when Jurgen arrived, we were all THRILLED to see him! And by 8:00 and they went to bed, we were done for.

During the week, we got to let the kids outside to play in their new water table, go to the playground A LOT and have a playdate with Rhyder (who is called "Rhy Rhy" by Cater!) The weather here is fabulous and we are taking advantage of every moment of it!
